AI vision for smart manufacturing — Lingbang meets Michelin

On the large-and-small enterprise collaboration platform run by Zhongguancun Science City, Beijing Lingbang Intelligent Equipment closed a technical session with Michelin, a global tire leader. The exchange focused on AI visual inspection, set a base for later work, and showed how science and technology can lift traditional manufacturing.

Chairman Cui Zhongwei led the Lingbang side, sitting with Michelin I4.0 product manager Nicolas Auger, Yang Yanchao and the core technical team. Lingbang’s US team lead walked through the inspection foundation model in English, end to end: few-shot fit, edge deployment, high generalization—aimed at intelligent quality inspection. The Michelin team responded strongly.

As a Zhongguancun Science City company, Lingbang has spent years on industrial intelligent inspection. Its in-house visual QC foundation model is already live in several industries, lifting both throughput and accuracy. This “Z Hub visits a large enterprise” session matched Lingbang to Michelin’s innovation needs, including smart-factory work.

With Zhongguancun Science City pushing the pairing, Lingbang’s inspection stack may next be validated at Michelin’s advanced plant in Shenyang. Lingbang will keep R&D at the center, use the collaboration ecosystem, and bring intelligent solutions to more manufacturers.
